**Work Shares available for volunteers and team members**
A position at our vegetable farm involves helping us seed, transplant, weed, and harvest. Much of our work is done by hand which can be physically challenging and sometimes uncomfortable. We work in the heat, rain, cold, and sometimes under time constraints. Most importantly, we love what we do. The two of us farm because of the joy it brings to our lives. We admire our surroundings and farm intentionally. We love meeting others who share our values!
Things to consider:

Must have experience working outside (heat & cold)

Experience working on a production vegetable farm is a plus

Farm work is production work- we must balance speed, high quality standards, and efficiency in order to be profitable

You must work carefully and be detail-oriented

You must communicate and cooperate

You must be able to take verbal directions and ask questions when unsure of the task or the outcome

You must have self-motivation and drive

You must be able to maintain focus

You must be able to work productively when alone and with a team

Details-
Part-time Farmers' Market Stand Position: ~6 hours each Saturday

Pay is $12/hour

Receive surplus and "#2" farm vegetables

Worker CSA Share available
This position requires customer service skills, some memorization, basic arithmetic, and the ability to think quickly. Must be dependable and friendly. You'll assist with unloading and loading the market van, setting up the stand, weighing and bagging items, stocking produce, selling produce, and handling a cash register.
Part-time Delivery Driver Position: ~6 hours each week

Pay is $12/hour

Drive company car

Receive surplus and "#2" farm vegetables
This position requires punctuality, customer service skills, moving quickly, being able to lift 30 lbs, and a good driving record. Our deliver driver is the face of our farm for our CSA drop sites and wholesale accounts. You will also be handling payments from our buyers. Most importantly, you will be representing Sandhill Farm!
Full-time Farmhand Position: 40 hours per week (5 days per week)

What to expect-

Daily tasks such as: greenhouse seeding, transplanting, watering, setting up irrigation, row-covering and moving sand bags, weeding, harvesting, washing, and packing
